Solutions

Our aim is to simplify the delivery of water solutions through a much simpler and flexible contracting model – unique in the water industry.

We offer a smart combination of technical know how and commercial world knowledge to present a composite solution. We invest in commercially optimised water solutions, utilising our industry expertise and providing a reliable water quality and supply solution, customised to your needs.

Some of the complexities faced in this industry include understanding the challenges of different sources, seasonal and/or lifetime variations and technical solutions able to operate reliably under changing site conditions and requirements. This requires water industry expertise and quite often, complex advisory and contracting structures. We work with you as your experts in understanding your requirements and simplifying the solution into a simple monthly charge.

Developed for your requirements.

Here are a few ways it could work for you.

  • Our short-term solutions are ideal to meet temporary, transient or seasonal requirements. With contract terms ranging from a few months to a couple of years, this could suit your requirements where a solution is needed for:

    - Emergency requirements
    - Supporting shutdowns and maintenance
    - Seasonal water scarcity
    - Seasonal excess water
    - Seasonal water quality changes
    - Bridging requirements
    - Construction phase of the project
    - Campaigns such as dewatering
    - Temporary change to water quality or quantity requirements
    - Flexible commercial sourcing

Our solution draws on an available asset base that is ready to deploy, combining various treatment techniques to provide the target water quality and quantity. All this is provided on a simple monthly charge with a contract term to suit your individual requirement, and with flexible extension options. Contract upgrade options are also available to meet changing circumstances and requirements.

Our technical service team is available to support site setup and ongoing operations and maintenance. Alternatively, we are happy to train and support your staff, if preferred.

  • Our medium to longer term solutions are more permanent in nature. This is ideal for requirements where you want to focus on your primary business, while outsourcing the water supply and associated complexities and risk. With our performance driven approach, we are able to develop bespoke technical solutions that will support you through the service term.

Our contracts retain the simplicity of a monthly charge but also have the flexibility to extend or trim the contract term. Our contract terms will typically vary from a couple of years to 20+ years. This solution would suit most of industrial and commercial requirements where the treated water solution is required for ongoing manufacturing and operations.

Key features of permanent solutions are:

    - Predictable monthly charges with no surprises/variations
    - Offloading of water quality and quantity risk to specialists
    - Performance driven contracts bringing in higher accountability
    - Flexible contract term with simpler extensions or trims
    - Water expertise to support water management needs and response to any changes
    - Partnering approach leading to better outcome
    - Flexibility to vary the contract with changing requirements
    - Freeing up capital for your principle business
    - Ownership options
    - Redeployment options

Operation, maintenance, chemicals, consumables are all packaged together for simpler contracting and risk mitigation.

Technology

Our team utilises the latest available technologies in the water industry to develop a practical and optimum treatment solution. We are technology agnostic, independent service providers. However, our teams extensive experience has allowed us to work with some technology preferences. Our solutions are typically based on some of these, which include:

Reverse Osmosis

The technology is used for separation of dissolved contaminants in water.

This is a membrane separation process that has matured as a robust, environmentally friendly solution over the last three decades. The technology has developed significantly from its early days and the current array of products and techniques adds to its versatility when handling various process separation applications ranging from Sea Water Desalination to brackish water treatment to water recycle and ultrapure water. The reliability of reverse osmosis technology is well established and is a preferred choice for most water practitioners.

It is a continuous process that goes hand in hand with advanced automation to produce reliable solutions offered by our team.

Ultrafiltration

This separation technology is used for filtration of suspended or undissolved solids present in water. It is ideally suited for filtration of fine matter and in select cases for the filtration of viruses, bacteria and other pathogens.

It is a continuous filtration technique that is very efficient at fine filtration and therefore well suited to bulk processing applications such as water treatment.

The technology has matured through the last two decades with a variety of products and techniques to support multitude of applications ranging from water filtration, RO pre-filtration, water purification, water recycle and reuse.

Smart control systems ensure continuous operation and easy integration with other process units. This ease of integration, modularity of construction and smaller foot print are a few features used by our team in developing our solutions.

Media Filtration

A variety of media are available and applied by our team in their process solutions. Our range of solutions include:

- Sand for coarse filtration
- Anthracite or Filter Coal for coarse filtration
- Activated Carbon for Dechlorination, Organic removal, Colour removal and other specialised applications
- Iron and Mn removal media to oxidise and remove Iron and Manganese
- Calcite for water stabilisation

Chemical Dosing

While every effort is made to minimise chemical use, there are times where use of a chemical dosing system is required in an application or process. Some of the applications where a chemical dosing system is applied include:

- Chlorination
- Dechlorination
- Antiscalant dosing
- Soda Ash dosing
- Lime Dosing
- pH correction
- Microbiological control
- Coagulant/Flocculant dosing

Ion Exchange

This technology has been used in water treatment applications for more than seventy years. The technology has advanced over the time and is still in wide use around the industry. Some of the applications where our team would use such systems are:

- Water softening
- Polishing (Regenerable or Non-regenerable Mixed Beds) of water for ultrapure applications such as Boilers/Process applications.
- Speciality Ion Exchange columns for removal of impurities such as Arsenic.

Electro Deionisation

This is a continuous Ion Exchange process, easy to automate, operate and manage, forming a technology of choice for permanent polishing applications. Unlike conventional Ion Exchange, electro deionisation involves in-situ regeneration of the ion exchange media held within the membranes, using the electrical energy, thus avoiding chemical regeneration and associated environmental footprint.

Dissolved Air Flotation

Majority of water treatment applications require solid-liquid separation. Dissolved Air flotation provides efficient means of removing suspended solids from feed water source. Air is mixed with recirculating water in a saturation vessel under pressure before feeding to Dissolved air flotation tank under atmospheric pressure. This results in formation of fine bubbles that lift the flocculated particles to the top of DAF tank. The floating sludge is scrapped from the top into sludge chamber for disposal or further treatment. The clear overflow is fed to downstream applications.

Dissolved Air Flotation systems are more efficient in solid liquid separation than comparable clarification systems and well suited for challenging applications such as high algae load, oil and grease contamination and fluctuating feed water load. Compact footprint is another advantage of DAF systems. It is for these advantages that we use dissolved air flotation system as pre-treatment to membrane systems, when required.

We are a progressive company, constantly seeking innovation and the latest in more efficient technologies and our solutions will continue to draw on such developments.
