George is a Chemical Engineering professional with extensive experience in the water treatment industry. George is passionate about innovative and emerging technologies, their application in the real-world and practicalities of their use. Throughout his 17+year career in water treatment, George has drawn on his multidisciplinary experience. This has been demonstrated in operating & maintenance management of membrane-based facilities, factory & site commissioning, lifecycle project design management incorporating principal concept process design through to detailed engineering of customised water treatment solutions. George has also led engineering teams across multiple disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Electrical & Control) as a design manager. He also has held roles in product design development, project engineering, project management and client relationship management.

As a practitioner, George designs treatment solutions that are focused on achieving practical outcomes for end users and overcoming real-world challenges. He also shares his experience as an active committee member on the AWA’s Desalination Specialist Network & SA Branch Technical Committees.
